Within the MOE of 4%...statistical dead heat. Hmmm....

3. No way!
Do you know how polling works? You can't take one poll and then another entirely different one and say he's down.

Unless this poll was done by ARG, Obama is probably up there from their last poll.

6. Oh, okay
I don't remember most poll names. I am sure the ARG poll was VERY generous when Obama was up by 8%. Obama being down or tied with McCain is more accurate and doesn't give us false hope.

13. I think Obama is either 1 or 2 points ahead of 1 or 2 points behind.
ARG always has f'd up polls.

This poll actually makes me feel better, because he's doing extremely well there.

18. Sorry to pop your false hopes
But McCain is going to get steamrolled in West Virginia ... and everywhere else, too.

20. Well,
I've been boldly predicting all along Obama will snag WV, and I hope I am right.

5. There you go again. That was a completely different poll by ARG.

8. You are the most consistently uninformed person in polling threads here,
and yet perhaps the most prolific.

Back during the primaries, there were plenty of self-styled experts spouting nonsense left and right.

9. I agree with the drunkard
According to 538's ranking of pollsters InAdv (-2%) has traditionally been a bit more successful than ARG (8%). So... it's really impossible to tell.

4. Obama should make a campaign stop there. It would freak out
the McCain camp and perhaps force them to go as well. It would also get a ton of press as Obama would be going to a state that has recently been solidly con.

11. Wasn't there a Biden quote yesterday in Ohio saying something about WV? (edit found it)
Edited on Wed Oct-15-08 01:15 PM by FreeState

“Which way is West-By-God-Virginia?” Biden asked the crowd Ohio University Eastern Campus, about 10 miles west of that state's border with Ohio. “I want to send a message to West Virginia -- we’re going to win in West Virginia! … We’re going to shock the living devil out of y’all!"

14. He promised to win it.
Of course, they say such things all the time; McCain would promise to win New York if someone asked.
