lol Chuck Todd can be so dippy
He is talking to Linda Douglas and saying "Your talking points leaked out! Your debate talking points leaked out! Do you know that I have them right in front of me?? I know what you're gonna say because your talking points leaked out! " Uh, he's being sarcastic, right? Because the Obama campaign always releases a pre-debate memo? Not exactly a leak, but he was being over the top, so maybe it was sarcasm.

1. Or maybe because he's an asshole desperate to give McCain an edge?
So he can impress Tom Brokaw into vouching for him for the MTP spot?

Maybe?

2. I just don't get how a released memo, that is the campaign's tradition
counts for "leaked talking points", but whatever, Chuck.

5. I started laughing when I read that it was "accidentally" released.
Yeah, right.

10. Seriously. "Hey, everyone, pay attention to our talking points! Mac is erratic!"
Media: Look, we have Obama's talking points! McCain is erratic!"
Obama: *laugh*

19. I was just going to say that. Every move is calculated.
It probably sent the McCain campaign into a tizzy. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall in their strategy meeting. :-)

6. I wouldn't doubt it. They've been begging pundits to ask them about using the word "erratic".
Their surrogates are using it as a jumping point to highlight all of McCain's "erratic" moves. And the surrogates all tend to bring up the same points...

Hmm....

7. the attempt.
fell flat :)

I like Chuck Todd (though I think he's been a bit off on some things lately), but he did sound dippy. Linda was just like "uh, whatever."

15. I also
like Chuck Todd. But his sense of humor is not why. I like him in spite of what I consider his inability to be funny. I think that most of us can remember some kid in our high school class, who was smart and nice, but who had a sense of humor that had never experienced puberty. (Sorry, Chuck, if you are reading this. Please study Lenny Bruce.)

17. well, I think he was joking
but he just sounded like such a nerd, the way he said it...like he was high or something. I think that he gets really excited about these debates, and they make him sound kind of nutty :)

12. I think some in the MSM are hoping to find an Obama mistake... of any kind
And since they can't at this point, are trying to fabricate a mistake. If the Obama campaign "RELEASED" a pre-debate memo that states that Obama is capable of handling the Ayers question but wants to focus on the economy, that's not a LEAK Chuck Tool, that's deliberately released information.

For a journalist (shya, right) to indicate it to be anything other, makes him a purveyor of fiction, not a journalist reporting the facts.

14. He was almost crying yesterday to David Gregory when the NY times poll came out
He could hardly speak and was mournful.
I bunch of us caught it at the same time on race to the white house.

Also James Cromwell, the actor accused him of being a right wing tool in the morning
then went on to school him on objectivity.

Chuck toddy is losing it and has been outed for what he is.
