Wow - Biden just said he heard on the Ohio news (he didn't catch what town)
where a house which was worth $100,000 is now worth $40-something. :scared:

1. I'd like to find one for $100,000
in my town. We're still hovering near the $200,000 mark for a 1000 sq ft 3 br, 1 ba, 1960 ranch.

2. Yeah, no kidding. The PNW hasn't been as devastated as other areas.
The $40 something price is like prices in the 80's -- That's the worst I've heard.

3. I feel bad for the people who have lost so much
I'm sure not wishing that on anybody, lots of people I know are teetering. But I sure would like to be able to afford to buy a house too. *sigh*

7. I understand. I don't think you can get anything in Seattle for $100K.

4. I hate it when the Dems say what a hero John McCain is...
he's no hero, he is not a nice man, this campaign proves that.

8. house
Come to PA. Ohio border. You can buy a house for 10,000. One near my father in law just sold for 9,200 at auction. A retired lady lived in it until 2 weeks before it was sold. Older home but in good condition. No jobs her though. The 100,000 200,00 homes being sold at sheriffs sale.

9. Sounds about right
here in So Ca the house accross the street sold for $540k a month ago. Three years ago it sold for $810K. Our home has been appraised at just under 1/2 of what it was worth 5 years ago.
