Biden in Ohio 3pm: If we win we'll call Congress back into session the 2nd or 3rd week of November
to take action on the economic crisis. He said he's spoken to Senate and House leadership already. They won't wait until January.

This is going to strongly appeal to voters. Barack announced some excellent economic proposals on Monday, and he will make them very clear tonight. And now the Dems are saying that if you elect Obama we'll take action a month from now that will provide immediate help for the middle class and small businesses and dare Bush and the repugs to oppose them. The Dow tanking again today will create an even stronger sense of urgency.

We cannot wait.

1. great! serious about governing. Vs. McCain would be waiting and then fighting against Congress
rather than working with it.

3. Second week would obviously be better. Not good to get too close
to Thanksgiving. You know they'll all go home for THAT! They can always come back for 3 weeks in December too!

8. Problem: If Dems know of action that will provide relief, why don't they take it NOW?
That is what I would be asking if I were Republican. For me, this is too much like Nixon saying he knew how to end the Vietnam War with honor, but not dislosing any more than that.

14. I have to agree with you on this point
John McCain goes around saying that he knows where Osama is that he knows how to get him. He says this time and time again in his stump speeches and during both debates so far.

Like Keith O says when he addresses this topic on Countdown, if he knows where and how to get him...then why hasn't he told "The Bush" about his plan and if he is withholding until he gets elected then it amounts to treason

The Pukes will try to turn it around by saying that the Dems are in control of both house of Congress.

17. Because any action a Democratic Congress would want to take could still be vetoed by Bush until...
January 19th.

So, while they do return, they'll get bills created and ready to pass for President Obama to sign. However, he won't be able to sign them until after he's inaugurated.

10. DAMN RIGHT! Obamas got THE plan. Heard on NPR yesterday that they will not wait...
...until January to enact them. Obama is urging Congress to start working on them NOW.

If McShit "wins" (by the PigShits keeping registered voters from the rolls and polls) we're SCREWED.

16. When both major party candidates are sitting Senators, odds are a sitting Senator will win.

12. And to start impeachment proceedings, I hope
against both Cheney and Bush.

And to pass an emergency law banning Bush from issuing any pardons.

13. Sorry to be dense
but how can Obama do anything until he is sworn in? Who could call them back into session before planned? Same congress is in session, how are you going to make them do anything different than what they've been doing all year, especially those not elected to come back?

Maybe he means start laying the groundwork?
