NC leaning Obama

I would swear the on-line edition of the News and Observer has hidden the story that was in the print edition this a.m. I seem to remember a latest NC poll showing Obama leading McCain by 3%.

Now the on-line edition makes no mention of the actual polling data, but does acknowledge that

"While the state has been reliably Republican in national elections for over 30 years, polls show that the race between Barack Obama and John McCain is in a dead heat and possibly leaning toward the Democrat."

Does anybody else have a link to the poll?

2. I dont think Obama will win NC
I think that Obama will easily win the election, but I just dont see him taking North Carolina. Its just too republican, and so I have a feeling it will snap back into place, even if its close. Itll be like Wisconsin and New Jersey in the 2004 election. Some polling in October found Bush ahead in both those states, but I never really thought Bush would win them because they are just too Democratic now (even if Wisconsin was really close in 2000).

With that said though, NC being really close is of some use. It forces McCain to use a fair amount of his limited resources in order to make sure it snaps back into place. This indirectly will make it easier to win in other states.
