Still in shock...

That my conservative republican friend who helped do a grassroots movement for Bush will be voting for Obama. We never discuss politics because it always leads to arguments but today she slipped it into the conversation. I know she will never fully be a committed democrat but still she is voting for Obama.:) I am truly convinced he will be the man to unite our country. Now I just have to remember not to say "I TOLD YOU BUSH WAS EVIL!" (very proud of myself for not going there!!!)

6. I have a best friend who is like a father to me and he bleeds Republican

and he will never recover. We never talk about politics because it ends up badly. Here is the really scary part: he believes that Bush and McCain are not really Republicans, that they are DEMOCRATS! He would never vote for Obama, so the best I can hope for is that he has not already voted for McCain (he votes absentee).

I've got the feeling that there is quite number of people who feel that by voting for Obama they will take part of something historic. Twenty years from now who wants to say "when America elected its first colored President, I gave my vote to a given loser"?

9. I know that if Romney was running she would have voted for him.

But McCain was the end all beat all. She has never had one nice thing to say about him so I was not surprised to hear she wouldn't vote for him but to hear her support Barack Obama that was just music to my ears.
