I think this was the worst debate performance by McCain
His attacks were coming across as both silly and made him look pathetic and desperate.

On the other hand, Obama was very sharp while answering the questions and he connected well on the economic issues.

In my opinion, McCain's performance in this debate was far worse than the last two. The polls will reflect that. :)

3. His repeated assertion that Obama will raise taxes was becoming very funny
It just made him look desperate.

4. I thought McCain
was awful.

Why were the networks (I watched CNN and CBS back and forth) trying to spin it so hard as a good performance by McCain? He came across as a nasty old man. ("Get off my lawn you #%&*@ kids!"). CNN was spinning it as a McCain win with such gusto I started getting nervous... until the polls came out, showing who's crazy -- and it ain't me.

5. I think Gramps made himself look very pissy by interrupting Obama so much. Also,
his patronizing bullshit was infuriating. "You need to go south of the border." "You need to visit some of the DC schools." Infuriating.

6. McCain seemed to start out ok - but then went immediately
downhill. He was angry through the whole thing. Did you notice that he even seemed angry when Barack agreed with him on some things. McCain showed how unfit he is to lead anything. And, as usual, Barack was cool and collected. The sign of a great leader.

7. I thought McCain started out pretty well
He was actually acknowledging Barack and making a lot of eye contact.

McCain was skewered for his lack of respect for Barack during the first debate. But this time, at least in the beginning, he came off as a bit friendlier.

But as the debate went on, he seemed to get more and more agitated. He started rolling his eyes, sighing, blinking about 1,000 times a minute, being condescending... basically coming across as an asshole. It's like he tried to be respectful but couldn't hold it together for an hour and a half, and the real John McCain came out.

8. I agree.
McCain just keeps on repeating the same shit over and over again. Things that he's already said in the other debates and his stump speeches.

9. Well, it's his strongest, but he still lost...
McStupid started out okay, but fizzled out as Obama got stronger.

10. He brought the "tone" of his campaign into the debate
Stupid. Stupid.

:silly:

How could he believe that it would've helped him (e.g. with Independents)? He just threw the red meat to his "base". He's sold his soul.
