You could see it on John's face...

At some point, maybe not today but maybe not too long ago, John realized he wasn't going to be elected.

Maybe he's been looking at his internal numbers.

Maybe he's been listening to the punditry.

Maybe he realizes that Palin was a crap-assed VP pick.

One thing is certain to me. I could see it in his eyes, his expression: that he knows he is going to lose.

His entire demeanor was dripping with certain defeat: the "I fucked up look."

Now his only hope rests on GOPyg voter caging, intimidation and vote thefting.

1. A friend of mine was saying this weekend
that he thinks that McCain just wants it to be over-that his heart just isn't in it any more. Maybe he's right.

5. Perhaps your friend is spot on.

Whatever the reasons for running a poor campaign, John is out.

Maybe he might have made a okay President if he hadn't sold his soul, but the whole "kissing the arse" of the religious right was his fist major blunder. The second was adopting the failed policies of BushCo.

2. I suspect you're right.
I hope he won't stand in the way of Obama's legitimate election.

6. Yep. She would have been much easier for him to run against.
With Obama, it's like McCain can't figure out what hit him.
