McCain's Body Language
Edited on Thu Oct-16-08 06:55 AM by political_Dem
When I was watching the debate, there were several things that stood out for me:

1)McCain's inability to sit still at the beginning of the debate. He kept on moving around.

2)His show of utter contempt toward Obama by hardly looking at him, even when in close proximity with his opponent. For the times he did look at Obama, it seemed forced as if someone "coached" him to do it. Otherwise, he would have spent the entire night acting as if Obama was not there.

3)I know people were discussing the blinking and the eye-rolls. That was the most fascinating of all his body language because it conveyed his inability to tell the truth as well as his contempt for his opponent.

There are more things to point out, but I feel that his agitated nature really presented a disturbing, unstable image during the debate. In fact, it made me rather repelled by his entire personality. At times, his body language was so pronounced, it was also hard to listen to his message.

I wonder what you guys saw in terms of his body language and how you felt by it.

What aspects of McCain's body language stood out for you? What did you think about it?

2. I agree. He couldn't hide his rage if it saved his life.
Now who is saying that he would be perfect as leader? He doesn't have the temperment, even under extreme circumstances.

5. The tone of his voice when he addressed Senator Obama
was soooo repulsive. It sounded like he was talking to someone he considered to be an idiot.

6. I noticed he was even BREATHING angrily.
You can hear him every so often, rather loudly. It was odd.

8. I think he has a breathing problem.
I was listening to the last debate and not watching. He seemed to talk in spurts,

and draw short breaths. It was weird. It wasn't a normal pattern. Who knows how

Gollum breathes though?

9. the mike really picked up his breathing
at times he was almost "huffing" and other times, as he was answering a question, was very hurried with his breathing (mouth breathing by the way).

also, did you guys/gals catch how clenched up McGrump's shoulders were? He couldnt have been any more rigid in that regard either.

10. He looked like he'd just been shot up/got a rush ...
... at the beginning of the debate - with the twitching, eye rolls and such ... then the meds 'evened out' and he turned back into his stodgy grumpy self.
