No-drama Obama declines possible cheap shots.

I noticed a few times Obama could have really zinged McCain but decided not to do so. My personal favorite was when McCain asked why O. didn't vote to confirm Breyer to SCOTUS. Breyer, of course, was a Clinton appointee who was confirmed before O. was a senator.

He also did not bother to point out that Palin's baby is retarded, not autistic.

4. Let's not use the word "retarded" as a slur. I'm sure you don't intend harm, but it is a word that

comes loaded when using it as a slur, and this use of the word will hurt a lot of DUers who have children and family members who are retarded. As a former classroom teacher with special needs students, using retarded as a slur always takes my breath away as I think about all the lovely children who have been in my classroom over the years who are identified as retarded.

Again, I think this is a common word that is used, so I don't think harm was intended. But, it is a word that takes on a lot of personal meaning for many people.
