Joe the Plumber? Nope. Joe the Tax Dodger. Joe the Relative of Charles Keating. Hilarious.
Joe the Plumber appears to be Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher.

Oh there's also a Joe the Twice Divorced Wife Beater.

And The Joe I Haven't Had a Plumbing License Since 2002.

I wonder which of these will turn out to be the guy doing all the talk shows?

*** Update 2: There's another Wurzelbacher. Doug Wurzelbacher. Doug is active in competitive dog sled racing. Guess where he lives? Wasilla, Alaska. What are the odds? I wonder if he's related to "Plumber Joe"?

I grew up knowing my Uncle Ronnie, but it was only after my father died that I learned my father met him on a business trip and they became fast friends because of our unique last names. :)

I hope some intrepid DUers with mad investigative skills can tie "The Plumber" to Keating, but I fear that it might be the JW who I found doing "a google" last night who lives in SoCal and seems to be a bit of a "philanthropist" type.

Nonetheless, the last name is so unique that there may be a connection there nonetheless.

24. Obama isn't desperate and neither are we. It certainly doesn't
distract any of us from doing what we need to do.

Diane Sawyer was able to get him to say that he doesn't make that much money and that the business itself will cost $250,000 to BUY. That's a pretty big difference. And it will make news folks dig deeper.

For us, it's just good fun.
