AP: Mickey Mouse investigation . FBI going after ACORN.

"A senior law enforcement official confirmed the investigation to The Associated Press. A second senior law enforcement official says the FBI was looking at results of inquiries in several states, including a raid on ACORN's office in Las Vegas, for any evidence of a coordinated national effort . . .

House Republicans have been pushing for the Justice Department to investigate ACORN, calling on Attorney General Michael Mukasey to make sure ballots by ineligible or fraudulent voters are not counted on Nov. 4.

The issue also became campaign trail fodder for McCain, who on Wednesday night demanded to know the full extent of Obama's ties with ACORN. McCain said the group could be on the verge of 'destroying the fabric of democracy.'"

Good to see that since Gonzo is gone the DoJ has given up that whole political thing.

1. Oh yes, those homeless people and impoverished black people are such a threat
to our electoral process. But not the purgers and the cagers. Sometimes I wanna :banghead: .

I saw the Acorn officials and spokespeople give a press conference yesterday, regarding these allegations. I cannot believe they are being vilified when all they wanna do is help poor people vote! :grr:

3. Yes, you always need to give extra special scrutiny to the ballots of
the poor. You know about those people. They drive up to their voting place in their Cadillac paid for with food stamps, and they take just long enough from making babies to vote in one of their own. Who, if he wins, will presumably give more of your hard earned income to the poor.

Seriously, though, kind of strange timing for the FBI to be going after the validity of so many registrations three weeks before the election. Looks like W. & Co. are really getting nervous about McMummy being able to even steal this election. A few thousand votes here or there stolen won't matter in a landslide.

4. I heard it said on CNN that it will only be a cursory investigation before
the election, that they don't want to inject what could be seen as partisanship so close to the election. Hope whoever said that was right. I feel so sorry for the folks at Acorn. The spokespeople & officers I saw on CSPAN looked like really hardworking people who are just trying to do some good in the world, and then they get hit with this shit. Republicans can burn in hell for all I care.

2. Let 'em look. Maybe they'll see repug
election fraud while they're looking for fraudulent ballots.
