Do you know what pisses me off most about Barack Obama?
He can only be President for 8 years. I mean, wtf? He'll only be moving in to his prime when he's done.

Okay, the petition starts here:

12 Terms for Obama - yes or no?

1. No.
Eight is enough, so to speak.

It is a very grueling life, taxing on one's health and relationships.

3. No. If he wants to remain in public service, he might run for the Senate again. n/t

10. Yes, they can, (legally). But never have. One was on the US Supreme Court.

13. I stand corrected

Wikipedia says he served in the Senate before he was President, and ran unsuccessfully after he served. It also says he had a failed House run.

14. He ran. He won. He died soon after being elected. Not much of a term.
And it's not like anyone except McCain was around to witness it first-hand.

4. Well, fair enough...
...I was just kiddin', although while I understand why it's limited to two terms I still think it's very short when the President is a relatively young man. Having said that it's a pity Britain didn't have the same rule, they would have got rid of Blair two years before he went. :-)

5. Maybe if we work on it now, Michelle can be in the White House in 2012
They wouldn't even have to move out!! The tax savings with the move would be worth it alone!!!
:bounce:

16. It's good that we are talking about this now.
After 8 years of seeing Michelle in the White House the next transition is to just keep her there. How hard can that be? I mean, are we really talking transition, if no moving is involved?

7. I am going to get slammed for this, but I am not sure I even want a Democrat
in the White House for the next 12 terms. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. I would really hate to find myself feeling about Dems the way I feel about Repukes in about 15 years.

8. I see him as a SPECIAL AMBASSADOR after his term...
Working in Africa, Helping mend fences between and within nations...GAWD knows there's plenty of work for him out there.

Maybe as UN Secretary General, or President of the World Bank, or things like that in his 60's!

We have to work to create that kind of atmosphere...
