Just voted for the first time for Obama!
I just turned in my absentee ballot (I'm a freshman at Brown University, but am from Virginia, so obviously had to do absentee) and I voted for Obama with my first presidential vote ever!!! I voted for him in the primary too but this vote is much more exciting, ESPECIALLY given the importance of Virginia! I even had my roommate take a picture of me with my ballot haha

4. Congratulations. Always remember this vote because in your
entire lifetime you may only get to vote FOR someone once or twice. Usually you vote against the other guy.

7. Also, EVERYONE here is for Obama
ALL of my friends here at Brown are voting for Obama. I know Brown is famous for being a really liberal university, but I think it really does also reflect the youth enthusiasm this time around for Obama.

Isn't it a wonderful feeling? It's great that we have a fantastic Obama-Biden ticket and I'm certain that they appreciate each and every one of our votes.

Please post photos, we'd love to see them!

17. I remember that feeling!
My first vote was for Clinton. Why some people do not exercise this right is a mystery to me. I always feel so empowered and purposeful. Hope your friends at Brown follow suit!

P.S. How's life on College Hill? I am from Providence and miss it!

Congratulations on your first vote! It is truly exciting stuff and it won't get old. They are ALL important votes.

The percentage of people in your age group who vote is relatively low. We need more young voters like you.

Our ballots were sent out yesterday in Washington State. (all mail in this year)

Make sure to report your vote here:

I am going to miss going to vote! My family will be sending in in 8 ballots with the Obama box checked on them! That includes our kids and their spouses.

I foolishly wasted my first Presidential vote on Poppy Bush in 1988.
