Brave New World
Welcome to my first journal. Please bear with me as I'm not the most eloquent writer. Sometimes, I know what I want to say but not how to say it. With that disclaimer in mind, here we go....

In a little over two weeks, America faces a choice. Not just Obama or McCain, but a choice to look to the future or to stay mired in the past. A choice between the status quo, or an unprecedented change. Change can be scary. As Garth said in Wayne's World (the movie) "We fear change." But change we must.

America stands on the brink of either the same old shit, or a Brave New World. Being the fearful little shits that they are, it's no surprise that the "right" fears the prospect of a BNW. They KNOW that there's no place for them in it.

They only know how to destroy, not to create.

They only know how to hate, not to love. (oh, they may love their families and possessions, but they are not by nature loving people)

They only know how to wage war, not make peace.

They only know how to fear.

To be a part of this BNW, they must embrace change or become obsolete, extinct. They must change the way they think. The way they act. The backwards notions they embrace and cling to. And they are comfortable being exactly the way they are. Their status quo is handed down from generation to generation, like a treasure heirloom. "My daddy voted republican, his daddy voted republican, and his daddy...yadda yadda yadda." That's why you never talk politics with a child. "My daddy says George Bush is the greatest president EVER." Eventually, you have to learn to think for yourself, form your own opinions. And unfortunately, so many of them will never get beyond the "my daddy says" stage. Now, I won't say that ALL of them are like that, otherwise there'd be no REPUBLICANS FOR OBAMA movement, or REDNECKS FOR OBAMA (god or whomever bless them).

Things will only get uglier from here on out as those who fear change and a BNW fight harder and harder against it. The forces of change will sweep over them like a tsunami. They will have to sink or swim.

Change or become obsolete.

Here's your chance to join us in the Brave New World.

Embrace change.
