"willie horton and Rev. Al"
Edited on Sun Sep-05-04 09:46 AM by hippiewannabe
that is the headline of an article in todays NY daily news. talking about how the GOP is at it again and bringing back willie horton to attack kerry.

<snip>"A new conservative group is getting ready to air a pair of blistering attack ads against Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry, including one that revives the infamous figure of Horton and blasts Kerry for helping free a "would-be cop killer" from prison." <end snip>

when is kerry going to start attacking back? he cant wait any longer. the time is now. he always says he is a great closer, well the time is now to close.

7. In the article about this new group, it said that they are allowed to
air ads all the way to election day IF all their donations come from individuals and none from businesses. What kind of stupid thing is that? The article also said that many think the FEC has misinterpreted the law allowing this to happen.

3. The funny thing about the would be cop killer is
that the ad scknowledges that he was freed because he was innocent of what he was arrested for and shot at the cops after he was released. I don't even think any cops died in the incident.

5. even though the guy was innocent of the crime
he later went out and broke the law. so..............really though the guy was innocent kerry should have sent his ass to jail, cause who knows what he might do in the future. kinda the problem with repugs having power and the patriot act, we will all end up in jail cause maybe we might do something wrong in the future.

yes i saw this, makes them look like asshole

8. The problem with that is - how are we gonna relay that to the masses
who see but don't know the truth or read DU? Yes, I know that they should be able to catch it for themselves, but, unfortunately, many don't know how to think for themselves (I'm beginning to think it's a vast majority who do not use their brains).

10. sadly this one is obvious, they say it right on the commercial
i read just now on a thread, this is a campaign on reality. are people going to be couragous enough to challenge their desire for party loyalty to see reality or allow themselves ot be closed eye sheep

i am seeing an overall way to address this. bush looses lives because of his incompetence, so to suggest support bush to support troops is wrong. simple. kerry's goal is to save those lives, so support troop you vote kerry

i am going to tak to people in this term. are you willing to see reality to save lives, or your illusion so important to you that you are willing to lose american lives. shame on you

11. And it goes so much deeper than that.
Not only does he lose lives, but he doesn't "support" those whose lives are not lost, but altered - the injured. He doesn't "support" those left behind when lives are lost, either. There was a great article in People about one of the wives who had a terrible time figuring out what to do and how to get her benefits after her husband had died. There was an article last night about a family taking up money to get their son's body from the East Coast to his home state for burial.

And, he certainly doesn't "support" the working people of America - those who work hard every day so he can waste our money getting those people killed.
