7. Started off with Tina skewering her, doing a "press conference" as her
then they cut to Palin watching from backstage from Lorne. Alec Baldwin showed up and thought he was standing next to Tina (dressed as Palin) saying "We can't let our dear Tina go out there with that horrible woman! I mean she is really awful" etc etc. and Lorne was like "This *is* Gov. Palin".
16. Opened with a skit of Tina Fey lampooning Palin at a press conference.
She was taking questions that made her look like a fool such as "which parts of the country are un-American?" Then Fey-as-Palin said she was going to do a runway walk for the reporters. They flashed to the real Palin chatting with Lorne. Several celebs walked up and said how they didn't like the way they were satirized on previous episodes of SNL. Alec Baldwin walked up to Palin and acted as if he thought it was actually Fey. He said something like "I can't believe you're actually going to go out there with HER! I mean, this is a huge election and she's a piece of shit (so to speak). When Lorne said "This IS the Governor" he acted embarrassed and mumbled something like "You are way hotter in person." Palin walked toward the podium at which point Fey said "I'm outta here" and left without even acknowledging her. Palin said "I won't be taking any questions but I would like to say LIVE FROM NEW YORK, IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT!" It was awful!
not an EPIC FAIL, not a a Katie Couric FAIL...not a "in what respect Charlie" FAIL. More like a sitting by Henry Kissinger learning the world geography FAIL.
