Buffalo News endorses Obama!
Although this, our only daily paper, is often the mouthpiece for local Republican corporate (over people) interests, its history is one of favoring Democratic nominees for president. Put another one in the Obama column.

Obama for president
Voters should seize the chance to elect a transformative leader

The only thing we have to fear, a great president once said, is fear itself.

Barack Obama is not afraid.

Concerned. Alert. Maybe even a little alarmed. But the Democratic candidate for president of the United States is not afraid and, of perhaps even more importance, he does not seek to be elected by making us afraid.

If Americans want a future where our leaders respond to challenges with judgment and principle, rather than panic and rashness, they will elect Barack Obama president. We recommend they do so.

Our preference for Obama is not based only on matters of character, intelligence and calm. It also flows from his superior positions on such basic issues as war and peace, energy and environment, the economy and taxation, health care and justice.

Jim Kelly isn't going to like that - at all. Tee hee.

Go Buff! I'm an N.U. grad who lived in Buff for a year after graduation. ;-)

6. You're from Buffalo??
I am from the general area... don't live right in Buffalo anymore, but I spent the first few years of my married life in a dingy little apartment on Niagara street. I could see the Peace Bridge from my (second story) front porch. Perhaps the happiest years of my life:)

Go Buffalo!:woohoo:

7. Hey, neighbor! Thanks for posting!
I hadn't yet seen that, although I expected it. I must say this year was a no-brainer for them, but after a lot of conversations with one of my brothers, who moved to Kentucky, I'm so happy to live in a blue state! I'm not sure I could survive in a red state...

9. The Salt Lake Tribune and the Cleveland Plain Dealer also endorsed Obama today.

I'm in Utah, so the Trib endorsement makes me happy. I honestly can't remember if they endorsed Kerry or Gore, but they are the "liberal" paper in Utah, so they probably did.
