I believe it was Chuck Todd who mentioned this AM that Obama is spending $5mil on the ground in WV..
He said the Obama Campaign is building and funding a ground organization to the tune of $5mil in West Virginia --and went on to say something like imagine what they can do in a State of that size.

1. It's a smart move financially

It makes the GOP spend money on a state that we'll probably lose in the long run but as I said, now they have to spend money to defend that state, using up money they don't really have to use.

It's almost as though the Dems are trying to bankrupt the GOP.

9. I think that was Obama's plan all along. I had to laugh at Joe Scarboro this am.
He kept repeting that he thought it was a mistake for Obama to continue to spend $$ in NC, WVA, & MO. They should pull out of those states and concentrate on Ohio, Fla, and PA. I kept thinking, "Hey Joe! I think he has the $$ to continue to do ALL OF THEM!

14. Joe's job is to keep the Repub Troops' Morale From Totally Crashing...
What we have here is a total Republican Disaster of their own making, playing out in slow motion for the next 2 weeks for all to see.

13. It really shouldn't be. By and large it's a democratic state and until 2000
it was traditionally democratic in presidential elections, too. I think the economy will be a big factor in WVA.

3. Obama has every right to spend his campaign money as he sees fit. He got it the old fashioned way -
he earned it.

So, spend it with our blessings! That's why we gave it!

7. This is what $150mil in one month will allow us to do that SCARES Freepers to death...
I think it is time to not only think boldly but act boldly ... which is exactly what Obama and the DNC are doing.

It sure looks like the RNC recognizes the tsunami that is building and is 'pulling' funding in many states to not only play defense in states they should already have locked up, but are trying to counter further inroads into traditional Repub strongholds.

I think this fits in nicely with the Dean 50 State Strategy, and is paying huge dividends.

15. I'd love to be a fly on the wall when the McCain Camp looks at those WV Internals...
There is probably an audible gasp coming from them.

Most likely there won't be another single "offensive" that McCain/Palin will run between now and election day. It is all 'defensive' from here on out.
