1) Powell got us into a nasty military action that has caused a great great great deal of harm
2) Powell's endorsement of Obama will help sway military and others to vote for Obama

You don't have to like him to appreciate the endorsement.

Try this example: If I were trapped in my burning car after an accident and Powell came to help get me out, I wouldn't say "no, I don't like you". I would let him help. That is the situation here.

4. Well, the analogy is about right, I agree. It's time America got rescued.
Powell wasn't the president for the last 8 years. Powell didn't run for President looking just like GWB!

I forgive his following his Commander's orders.

He set the record straight and no one paid any attention to how he tried to keep us out of Iraq!
