Poll question: A marriage in crises - can this marriage be saved?

DesertedRose shared this comment on this thread

My republican husband actually had the nerve to say the same thing (that Powell's endorsement was racially motivated)
He didn't sleep on the couch...*I* did

It IS all about race to republicans....it truly is

Bicostal then responded with a question that has GDP in crises for the last few hours

Can this marriage be saved?

12. Just curious - is it okay with DesertedRose that you posted this?
Does she mind that her marriage is being posted as a poll?

Just for the record, my husband is a repug, as are a couple of other DUers.
Please don't start any threads about my marriage.

I'm laughing at it, honestly :-) If I didn't laugh I'd be crying, and I sort of asked for it by saying something in the first place....

Thank you for having my back  you're the best

Things will be better after the election...no matter who wins O8)

2004 was MUCH worse than this year. I survived attending Texas A&M while Democrat (!). If I can survive that, I can survive anything

PS: I have "admirers?!"

I love DU :hi:

17. Guess what GC
Two ladies canvassing for Obama just came to my door....DH answered  and said "um, let me get my wife..."

I had a very nice conversation with them and explained my 'situation'

One of them said she understood because the love of her life used to work for a republican senator and they'd watch both conventions together...she said it was lots of fun

So SEE it happens more than you guys realize!

BTW most of my family is Republican and my brother (a Republican) is on the ballot in a non partisan position.

I think it will be much easier for our Republican family members to talk to us under an Obama administration than the burden we were under for the last 8 years trying to talk to them about Bush.

18. I agree
Even my conservative in-laws called to congratulate me when Obama won the Dem nomination. I love them to pieces and thought that was so classy of them.

22. I voted for the phone number....
I swear, if I have to sit through one more date with a woman that turns out to be a repub, or even worse, one that's never voted and doesn't care to vote, I'm going to give up.

I'm not one of those people who could be married to a pug, I wear my views, often literally on my sleeve.

23. Although lots of couples seem to do it
and for that reason I voted #1, I personally could not. I'm Jewish. I could marry an Orthodox catholic, a Buddhist, a Muslim, an atheist, a pagan - not a fundie Evangelist or Mormon though- but never a Republican.

Best of luck to the couple ~ and may the Republican evolve into a dedicated Dem asap!
