Matthews: "Senator McCain was unable to provide someone in response."
So Tweety's got Claire on this special edition of Harball to discuss the Powell endorsement ....... dont ask me Claire who!!! LOL! WE LOVE YOU CLAIRE!!! ..... and apologized for not having anyone on from the McCain camp saying "they were unable to provide someone on such late notice."

How do you just NOT have someone on a (sort of) major news show to defend against this endorsement? Heck, was there not ONE Tucker who was free? In the WHOLE Republican universe, they couldn't find ONE person to take up for him?

Seriously!

Is John's mama runnin' his campaign? It's one poor strategy move (or lack thereof) after another with these people.

"Desperate times call for desperate measures...Jeb was one helluva leader in FL."

Also says Bush fatigue is overrated.

5. It's a real minefield for them
what are they gonna say, "Powell is black, Obama is black, what did you expect?" There is nothing they can say that won't get them into deep shit.

7. Predicable, but MTP debunked that in advance
They rolled tape at the top of their show showing Powell telling some panel and audience (sorry, don't know where) that he told McCain he wouldn't just vote for him because of their friendship and that he told Obama he wouldn't just vote for him because he was black. These people just make up whatever "reality" their psyches can handle.

6. Uh-huh..."on such late notice"
Thinking that would not have been a problem had Powell endorsed Mcgrampass today. And, btw....pretty sure I've seen interviews done via phone before.

10. Why didn't they send in the saracuda? Isn't she ready for
primetime yet? I see the old man is going to hold her hand tomorrow for an interview, I think on NBC? or was it ABC.

14. Speaking of Tuckers, is Tucker Carlson finally off the air?
Seemed like he was still on TV a lot for a while even after he lost his show.
