I thought it was because he was a rabid republican but I guess its racial. (Since Pat insists on Tweety's show that Colin Powell's endorsement is because Obama is black)

2. Buchanan has always shown himself to be a rabid racist; nothing
has changed. I can't figure out why these talking heads value his distorted opinion.

9. Same reason they've fallen for McCain. 'Cause he's got, like, experience and seniority and shit.
I guess if you're an old white Republican guy, you're always right, even when you're wrong. :P

5. What other reason could there be, at this point?
Oh, wait, Buchanan is pretty wealthy, isn't he? He's probably salivating at the thought of those tax cuts.

7. That Would Be My Guess
After all, if things really were equal Pat would be reduced to cleaning toilets for a living.

10. What Buchannon can't seem to wrap his mind around
Is that Powell donated to the McCain* campaign, donated to the RNC leadership and watching McCain* fall apart over the economic issue and then try to become divisive to win this election are both valid reasons to change one's mind. Plus the myriad of reasons Powell gave.

11. Apparently That's It!
Kill me now, but for some unknown reason I do like to occasionally read Pat's take on things, particularly when they are from a historical perspective ( for example when Israel attacked Lebanon several years ago he was the only one in the MSM telling the truth about it and expressed outrage at Israel's actions). However, when it comes to politics, Pat wouldn't endorse anything the Democratic party had to offer no matter what. That said, Mr. Buchanan just shocked me with his opinion as to why Colin Powell has decided to endorse Barack Obama. Because he's black Pat? You sir are a racist! Colin Powell expressed a multitude of reasons all of them sound as to why he endorsed Obama and not one of these reasons had anything remotely connected to Obama's skin color.

12. No... he's not racist. He likes Alan Keyes.
:sarcasm:

I've found many fundies make this claim when cornered on a charge of racism. LOL
