Landslide = Mandate: LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!

While Obama is campaigning his fanny off in the swing states, I have come to realize that the votes of all of us in the solid states matter. A lot.

If the election is close, the Republicans will say that Obama squeaked by, but does not have a mandate. If Obama gets a significant majority in blue states (70% would make me happy) and a pathetic win (52%) in the red states, then Obama has the "mandate" of the people. The unmistakable indicator that we, the majority of citizens in the Unites States, want this person as our president. (Okay, I'll include the small percentage who are taking the "lesser of two evils", and some who just couldn't bear to have Palin so close to the red phone.)

I want to urge everyone in a solid colored state to work toward getting out the vote, and keep the need for a mandate in mind. In order to have a mandate, every single, solitary vote really does count.

Obama deserves no less.

It gives us political capital and with the ACORN threats looming, we will certainly need that.
