His grandmother in Hawaii is in bad shape, according to Olberman.

I hope everything is OK.

10. She's not on deathbed, she's ill.

Obama has enough pull, power, and capability right now that if she was near death, he'd practically have a free flight there any second he wanted, just so the press could watch.

I'm guessing what happened is that somebody in the press (or oppo) got word that she was sick, and they were about to launch a campaign about him "running around the country, celebrating, while the woman who raised him was sick and alone".

11. Update - Obama Is Only Missing One Day - He Will Hit Indiana On Thursday Morning.

Then fly to Hawaii after a rally Thursday morning in Indiana. With the time difference, he can spend Thursday night and Friday morning and afternoon with his grandmother, then pick up first thing on Saturday.
