Ballot
Received my Oregon mail in ballot today and for the first time in my life (I am 67 and have voted in every election I was legally allowed to)I will actually be voting for someone I can believe in, I will be voting for the best candidate I have seen in my adult life... I will NOT be voting for the lesser of 2 evils (as I have in all other elections), I will be voting for the man that I truly believe has the best interests of our country and the people in it at the heart of his intentions.. Normally I would like to see a fairly even balance in the house and senate, I look back at what happened with shrub and co. and shudder to think of all the power they had and how badly they abused that power and worry a lot of that happening again. BUT I truly believe that giving Obama and the Dems total control at this time is the only way we will get it fixed, they need to be able to work it out unhindered by partisan politics, business as usual is not what we need . :dem:

1. It is so sad
to me that it is going to take a generation of Dems in control to fix all the horrors of the Bush administration. It is not a quick thing.

2. yes it is
sad indeed, main concern being that they will have enough time, I am pretty sure they will get a majority and even possible a super majority, but they may only have 2 years to make it work. At the very least they will have to show very positive progress as fast as possible in order to maintain that majority...

3. You are correct that what we don't need is gridlock by splitting the ticket....
because there is not way to affect change otherwise.
