Why should Palin release her medical records?
I must admit, I was all for bashing her when I first started to read about this topic earlier today.

I have seen countless theories about what she may be hiding. Trig is really her daughters child? Come on, does anyone think that this is possible. Her daughter carries the child in isolation from friends and family, Palin wears a big belly strap-on, all the medical personnel remain quiet? Sounds nutty to me. Also note that mother's over the age of 35 run a higher risk of having Down's children.

Or Trig is really the illegitimate child of Todd's business partner Scott Richter? Mr Richter tried to seal the divorce papers. But this bit of rampant internet speculation has been shown to be false, at least as far as the divorce papers are concerned. Palin is not mentioned at all in the divorce record.

Did Sarah have an abortion? Unlikely, she is so nutso crazy about the topic and has been reborn for her entire adult life. But, is she so nutso crazy because of a past indiscretion, over compensating? No evidence to support such a notion. It certainly would make her an incredible hypocrite.

Or maybe she has nothing to hide. If the record has no real relevance on the election than why should she release it? Perhaps she has something benign, like hemorrhoids or a yeast infection that she wants to keep private. After all, no one really thinks she might die of skin cancer in, say, the next 4 to 8 years?

And if one of the machinations above is true, don't we as voters already have enough information on this women to state unequivocally that she is not qualified to be our next VP, a 72 year old's heart beat away from the presidency?
Proving adultery or hypocrisy would just be icing on the cake at this point. As delicious as is sounds, I wonder if the topic of her records should be pursued.

I wonder if rampant speculation on what one might find in Ms Palin's medical records makes us look as bad as what the right is trying to do with Obama and Ayers, Odinga, ACORN etc etc. Unsubstantiated rumor, guilt by association and innuendo. Just a thought.................

4. Because she is running for a post that puts her in line for the Presidency
All manner of younger people have life-threatening illnesses. It's the right of the voters to know the health of the people they're voting for. There are undecided people who might be swayed by that information.

6. General health concerns are enough to warrant release, I think
After all, we know her running mate is a cancer survivor and is 72 years old. We need to know if she is fit to take over in case he would die in office. By not releasing them, she is causing a lot of speculation as to her motives.

And the people who don't get that aren't going to be persuaded by a psych report. We never got one on the chimp, did we?

13. Because we have a right to know if she's being treated for being batshit crazy.
And, while it is more common for an older mother to have a Down Syndrome child it can happen to younger ones. I used to baby sit a Down Syndrom child whose parents were only in their 20s when she was born.

19. If we're going to get this intrusive, who is going to run for office?
I think enough is enough. I do not need to know any more about Sarah Palin's labor and deliveries than I already do. Frankly, its TMI already. This is why we end up with shitty candidates, because no one in their right mind would want their life scrutinized like this.

22. Obama has.
Biden has. McTroll has, to a degree. Why not Sarah? Is she special? She gets a pass on interviews, she gets a pass on knowing what paper she reads, she gets a pass on everything. Is this the repug vision of equal treatment?

I can not believe she is not getting hammered on this daily.

23. A hypothetical:
What if she's suffered from post-partum depression in the past?

Would that affect voters?

An election?

Would such a thing be fair to women, to discriminate against one, because of a common form of illness?
