Did anyone see AC 360?
Edited on Mon Oct-20-08 10:07 PM by FrenchieCat
Did Anderson Cooper talk about how the McCain campaign "might" bring up Rev. Wright, and in so doing, he brought up Rev. Wright and showed footage and talked about Rev. Wright?

I asked because that is what it appeared that he was going to do, and I turn off the channel in disgust. So I just wanted to verify that this is what he in fact did do.

1. That's how it's done.
Some McCain flunky hints they may do it, the lapdog media pick up on it and start to replay old footage. And the McCain campaign says since it's in the news they have to comment on it...

It's an old story. McCain has precious little money to spend on this himself so he waves a biscuit in front of the lapdog media's nose and they start snapping...

2. I didn't see any coverage of Rev Wright..he bought on Buchanan, Gergen and others to discuss it..
Bay Buchanan was the only one who thought it was a good idea.

3. It's a variation on the "leak something to the New York Times"
"Then go on the Sunday Talks waving the Times as proof of what you're claiming", trick. :eyes:

5. yes,
did you have it on long enough to hear David Gergen say "Well, McCain said that he wasn't going to use Rev Wright, but they could use the argument "well, Obama said that he would take public financing, and the media did not care about him going back on that." I am not even kidding, Gergen said that. Besides the fact that Obama did not promise to take public financing, the media HAMMERED him on that for weeks. My new answer to any Repub complaint of media bias is going to be, as Jon Stewart said "Really? My tivo says no." Also, bringing this up in the first segment wasn't enough. They had ANOTHER segment just on "bringing up Rev Wright again ", with Anderson, and all Republicans on the panel...Ed Rollins, Bay Buchanan, and David Brody. I turned it off at that point.

7. Yeah.....see, I turned it off when they went to a commercial saying
they would talk about Wright when they got back....and they showed some footage of Wright on their way out to break.

Unbelieveable. CNN is really so very close to fox at this point, I can barely tell them apart.

6. I thought it was the Repub Convention Part Deux...
The 'Churchy Spice' factor panel included some guy from the obviously left-leaning CBN, Ed Rollins and Bay - I think I actually find this mutt more disgusting than Palin. Nice balance there. If you're going to try to move to the middle, CNN, you sure suck at it.

9. For the past two weeks they've had a segment with only Republicans.
It's always under the pretense of dissecting whether Palin is dividing the Repuke party, but they only spend a minute or so on this and then move on to bashing Obama. I've yet to see them balance this with an all Democratic panel.

John McCain's campaign manager says he is reconsidering using Barack Obama's relationship with Reverend Jeremiah Wright as a campaign issue during the election's closing weeks.
