Obama Partied in Hollywood mailer!! My response:

I received not one, but TWO mailers from the RNC today, tipping me off to the "fact" that Obama "partied with Hollywood elite " with Wall Street in crisis!!!

I neatly cut both of these items up, making sure to keep the return address intact. I then ran off the copy of what I call the "Let Them Eat Cake" photo of McSame and W, (thanks DUers for your help in sending me that). Then I hand wrote the following:

"OH, REALLY? Partied like this fellow, his pal W., having cake and "palling around, while New Orleans and the Gulf Region drowned?
If these, your pathetic mailers (and robocalls) are all you have, your are absolutely sending the message 'out of ideas'.

"Hate-mongering, xenophobia, divise language, tolerance of violent speech at your campaign events, really, you should be ashamed.

"I am mailing back your toxic spew-we can't recycle toxic things in my county until the spring~ and this stuff isn't sitting aroung my house until then.

"Oh, and enjoy the 'Let Them Eat Cake Photo'."

Obama's actions during the Wall Street crisis didn't kill anyone.

Bush and McCain holding up a birthday cake while hundreds of thousands in New Orleans were struggling to stay above water on the other hand....

BUT - if you ever get any more of those mailers, the Obama Campaign wants you to report them. I got this email from the Obama Campaign last saturday:

"Voters in key battleground states are receiving automated phone calls from John McCain's campaign that are spreading some of the most vile smears of this election.

But these "robocalls" -- and the hate-filled mailers that usually accompany them -- say more about John McCain than they do about Barack.

After all, McCain himself denounced these underhanded and cowardly tactics as "hate calls" after a rash of them sunk his primary campaign in 2000. The perpetrator behind that slimy attack: George W. Bush. Now, not only has John McCain embraced these sleazy tactics, he's hired the same firm that Bush used against him to orchestrate them.
