Can you imagine the world testing a President Palin?

It that doesn't scare the **** out of you, there is something wrong.

the world would have any confidence in the U.S. righting the sinking financial ship or handling any other crisis.

For that matter.. the world testing a "president McCain" scares the shit out of me too.

I find the thought scary-funny. She'd be hospitalized in 36 hours, unable to even pull her beauty queen shit. First Dude would nominate himself to take her place; he'd move 17 snowmobiles into the basement of the WH, and put the refrigerators on the lawn. And a couple of trashy couches onto the porch. :evilgrin: Not to mention at least two 4x4 pickups on blocks into the Rose Garden.

I met her at a picnic just this past summer. Our Governors always have a big to-do sometime near Golden Days (http://fairbanks-alaska.com/golden-days.htm) with a cookout, meet & greet, crazy contests, etc. This was pre-McPalin, just into Troopergate, and she knew my name because of my involvement in Fairbanks local issues and letters I'd written to her office.

All I asked her was whether or not she felt that her firing of (AST Chief) Monegan was justified. :eyes: Honest, that is ALL I said, after politely saying "nice to meet you".

My husband took a picture of us a few seconds too late to catch her open-mouthed, wide-eyed non-answer, and instead got one of her shaking my hand. I did not shake her hand, she literally reached out for mine and shook it, then basically dismissed me. :wtf: No, I didn't get an answer to my simple yes-or-no question.

She is so far out of her league, the sports folks don't even have a word for it. And her lack of knowledge is not just because she's the undereducated mayor of a "small" town (I've posted elsewhere that Wasilla is the 4th largest town in the state, and is growing at a tremendous pace); it's because SHE DOESN'T WANT TO KNOW. :hide:

I don't mind ignorance due to lack of education or ability to learn. I HATE ignorance if it is because a fact doesn't fit the little worldview a person has built up, and that person has deliberately refused to learn. That's Sarah. Oh, the creationist fundy crap? No way any of this was evident when she was actually running for governor. She managed to do a complete bipolar on that stuff - because before her election, I'd spoken with her, her syncophants and handlers - and got a very different impression. I'm not politically stupid by any means - the crap she is spouting was either (a) VERY well hidden or (b) fed to her by her Rovian handlers.

Folks, thanks for helping expose the "real" Caribou Barbie. She is a wisp in the wind; Dan Quayle could have taken her in a debate.

Yes, she's scary, but she's very typical of so many 19%er freeps out there - woefully ignorant because they want to be; full of hate because they want to be; divisive because they want to be; bigoted and racist because they want to be. My only problem is I always ask "why would they want to be?"

And the only answer I can get from myself is "power". Big Oil and their ilk know that these people can be used to instill fear, because these people are deliberately ignorant.



Sorry for the rant. It's my first real DU break in a month, 3:00 AM and I broke a bone in my wrist last week - while door knocking for a local Dem! (It can be icy up here in winter....) :hi::kick::hi:
