Why can't I get a good feeling over the latest endorsement?
So what better man to announce George W. Bush's adoption of Adolf Hitler's moral code? Powell sat down with the media sycophants on ABC's "This Week" and calmly – moderately – laid out the new doctrine. The subject, of course, was Iraq. The UN was working on a deal that would allow international inspectors back into the country to verify that Saddam Hussein no longer possessed weapons of mass destruction.

This then is the bloodstained hand that Barack Obama has clasped so warmly, so triumphantly, on his march to power.http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article21060.htm

2. And yet, there are still those in this country who believe his endorsement means something.

The man is far from a hero.

Reminds me of another person who was in the news under Bush I...what was his name...oh yes...Oliver North.

They really should be in jail for what they've done.

3. Yep. Ollie, another criminal
I don't know how anyone could think this endorsement is good. It just takes remembering all those lies Powell told to the UN for me.

4. Some words worth pondering.
Come, let's away to prison:
We two alone will sing like birds i' the cage:
When thou dost ask me blessing, I'll kneel down,
And ask of thee forgiveness: so we'll live,
And pray, and sing, and tell old tales, and laugh
At gilded butterflies, and hear poor rogues
Talk of court news; and we'll talk with them too,
Who loses and who wins; who's in, who's out;
And take upon's the mystery of things,
As if we were God's spies: and we'll wear out,
In a wall'd prison, packs and sects of great ones,
That ebb and flow by the moon.

5. A coalition that includes Powell is stronger than one that doesn't
If nothing else, Powell is extremely loyal and has singiciant influence with the military and the American public. That combination can only help Obama enact reform.

6. It is precisely the influence factor that has me worried....
But out in the real world, where the operations of imperial power have left smoking trails of murder and ruin across the globe, the "endorsement" of a man who played an indispensable role in the slaughter of more than a million innocent people in a war of Hitlerian aggression should be regarded as a thing of shame, and vociferously rejected by anyone with a scintilla of honor or morality

7. I wish you guys would just knock this crap off. Just because you
don't respect Powell doesn't mean that a lot of fence sitters don't. I happen to know of some republicans who will vote for Obama because of Powell's endorsement. Are we going to vet all the voters now, and toss the ones we don't like? There will be racists voting for Obama as well, do we throw away their votes too?

Let's win this thing, okay?
