In every corner of every Village, Town, City and State, people are quietly going about their

business.

They seldom answer the phone if they don't recognize the number, and they don't use the internet casually.

They are voting in droves for Obama, and unless asked, don't volunteer the information.

I have found them in retirement villages, apartment buildings, in line at the grocery store, and have caught the slight nod of acknowledgement given to the Obama button I wear. Added to those are the excited voices of friends who have shared "for the first time my sister in law is voting for a Democrat".

It will happen.
Because it has.

my mother expresses her frustration that she can't convince my dad not to cancel out her vote for Obama. This will probably be the last election of his lifetime. He had a large aneurysm burst, and almost died last year, and has really become a lot like McCranky. I've given it my best shot, and have no more arguments to offer. My last one was to read him his 7th Great Grandfather's obituary, which states, "Mr. ____, a lifelong Democrat, was carried on his deathbed to vote..." :shrug:
