Got a problem with the color of his skin? Wear sunglasses.
A friend who comes over several times a month to play music with the spousal unit, offered up this tidbit on Friday evening.

His mom went to visit her brother last Sunday. Both middle class white folks in their 70's and in very very red parts of NC. Farmers and Reagan Republicans. And full of people disgusted and exasperated with the state of this country.

He told his sister he was going to vote for Obama. She asked him how people were reacting to the news. He said that some of the fellows down at the store (every town has one, ya know) said they would never vote for a n*gger.

He said: "Do you know what I told them? If you've got a problem with the color of his skin, put on some sunglasses and look at them both again (McCain and Obama). And when they look the same, vote for the better man."

North Carolina's gettin' sassy.

2. Correction--parts of Florida are just as bad.
In my neck of the woods, people are really supporting Obama.

3. Fair enough
I personally know more people who support Obama than McCain but I see and hear the other bullshit daily
