Warming up a crowd in North Carolina Saturday, Republican Rep. Robin Hayes offered the diagnosis that “liberals hate real Americans that work and achieve and believe in God.”


How can Republicans expect the millions of liberal Americans to treat them with anything but contempt? Not since the Nazi party has a political party spoke of their political opponents in such decisive and horrible terms.

On a positive note, a recent poll in the NC-8 district showed Kissell over Hayes by 8% (with a +/-4% MOE). But Kissell will need every bit of support he can get to defeat this incumbent. He will do it this time!!! :)

I'm not sure whether I'm supposed to hate people who achieve this week or look down on the poor bitter folks from my elitist ivory tower.

Dear Congressman:
I was just made aware of your comment today at a campaign rally that "...liberals hate real Americans that work and achieve and believe in God. While I understand one of your staffers is denying you made the comment, the audio is unfortunately posted at http://www.politico.com/blogs/thecrypt/ Surely you don't believe those who don't share your political views "hate real Americans." The implication is that, being a proud liberal, I am somehow not a "real American." I guess those dozen years I served my country in uniform don't count. Perhaps you should tell those liberals now serving that they also are not "real" Americans (your position on the Armed Services Committee should give you a suitable pulpit). Also, don't forget to send your message to the millions of hardworking, real Americans all across this land who are liberal, as well as your colleagues in Congress.
As for who I may hate, please don't speak for me. I love my country, including its ethic, religious and political diversity. You may hate those you disagree with, but I certainly don't.
