I am very excited about Baracks two day break from the campaign

I feel that his thought process requires an occasional period of contemplation and cogitation. I feel like when he returns he comes back harder and stronger. He uses the quiet time to work through the nuance of his strategy and to adjust this tactics that allow him to remain two steps ahead of the opposition.

Do well, Barack, the goal is within reach.

1. I doubt he will be recharging
It's very emotionally draining to lose a loved one, a surrogate parent, in this case.

2. I understand that. I also believe that he incorporates these experiences to
aid his understanding of human nature.

to be with someone you're close to before they leave this Earth is always a good thing.

"Hi. Gov. Lingle warns a crowd of tens that Obama will endanger America.

You may have heard that our Governor, Linda Lingle, is working her flat butt off for McCain.
She introduces Sarah Palin, she's on the road hawking the fear message, she's even gone so far
as to say that Sen. Obama, born and raised here, isn't really local. (Unlike herself, who moved here as an adult. But whatever.)

The Las Vegas Sun published a telling photo of her speaking to a throng of - several - people about how dangerous Obama would be for America. The writer mentioned that they took chairs away before she began speaking, presumably so it didn't look so poorly attended. FAIL.

What you may not know is that Linda Lingle was expected to run for US Senator when either of our Dans retires. But her recent hatefests make a win look less and less likely in this state, that went more than 72% Obama in our caucus.

Thank God all the work here at home is done and we aren't in a budget crisis or anything. Oh wait...she also announced from the road that she's ending our program to insure poor children."

AND..

"Lingle dismisses Obama's local ties"

<snip> <snip>

"Hawaii's GOP governor, who was in Colorado yesterday campaigning for Sen. John McCain, the Republican candidate for president, was asked about Obama's recent comments in Colorado: "I'm somebody from the West. Hawaii is about as far west as you can get."

Lingle, according to the newspaper Fort Collins Now, called Obama's comment "a stretch."

"Hawaii is a different part of America," Lingle said.

Obama never voted in Hawaii, never owned a business, but spent some time in school in the state, Lingle told the newspaper.

Hawaii Democrats called Lingle's comments "alarming, harsh and personal."

"So Gov. Lingle thinks Barack Obama is being disingenuous in claiming Hawaii as one of his home states. Sorry, governor, the claim happens to be true," said U.S. Rep. Mazie Hirono."

"Abercrombie to Lingle: don't disparage Obama's Hawaii ties"

HONOLULU (KHNL) - Congressman Neil Abercrombie lashed out at Governor Linda Lingle Friday, after statements she made recently on the mainland.

While campaigning in Colorado and Nevada for Republican presidential candidate John McCain and running mate Governor Sarah Palin, Abercrombie says Lingle questioned Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's Hawaii ties.

Born and raised in Hawaii, and a graduate of Punahou School, Barack Obama has always cherished, and embraced his connection to the islands.

But this past week on the mainland, Lingle told reporters Obama has never voted in Hawaii, nor has he owned a business here.

"Senator Obama likes to say he's from Hawaii. But, the truth is, I've never met him in my life. He's never called me on the phone. Ninety-five percent of the people in my state had never heard of him before he ran for president" said Lingle.

"To have the governor of the state of Hawaii disparaging someone who is after all born and raised in Hawaii and has carried on a campaign at this high level is a very, very sad day" said Abercrombie.

A spokesman for Lingle, who returned to Honolulu Friday morning, says the comments were taken out of context, and were in no way meant to disparage Senator Obama, or his family members who still live here."
