Obama will not simply be the next President of the United States
Edited on Tue Oct-21-08 04:23 PM by berni_mccoy
He will be the herald for a new age of America.

America has been through a dark time, a time of policy based on fear, not hope. It has been a time where those in power relied upon suppression not participation, where they used denigration not inspiration and where they divided us with issues only a small vocal minority actually cared about.

Obama is leading us into a time where we can actually feel good about supporting our representatives, feel righteous in speaking out against the administration when it does wrong and feel empowered to vote because we know it will mean something.

Obama is bringing Democracy back to the American people. He is taking the power away from those who hold wealth and can control the information. Obama's restoring that power to it's proper place: in the hands of the people.

And Americans are anxiously awaiting this historic moment that comes only in an age. We see the light. And we know it is good. We are moving toward that moment right now. All who would participate in this revolution are welcome. Will you join us? Can you feel it?

2. I liked Hillary's statement about a Democrat (FDR) bringing us through
the last depression and the need for another one again. He has the chance to make the same kind of impact as FDR had in the 1940s.
