RNC Delegates out-of-touch with America
On yesterday's 'Capital Gang' on CNN, Mark Shields made the following comments:

"While half the United States population and two-thirds of Democrats believe it is important to work through the United Nations to solve world problems, a grand total of just 7 percent of this year's Republican delegates agree.

Should the federal government do more to regulate the environmental and safety procedures of American business? Three out of five voters say yes, but not these delegates in Madison Square Garden. Fewer than one out of six, just 15 percent, want the government to further protect birds, bunnies and human workers if it means inconveniencing business.

When it comes to choosing between balancing the federal budget or cutting taxes, these Republicans overwhelmingly choose cutting their own taxes, even if it means more debt for their grandchildren. Not surprisingly, 27 percent of the Republican delegates in New York were millionaires."

Did you notice that the loudest applause came when Bush promised to retain the tax cuts?

These people have the nerve to pose as ‘patriots’ while they run the country into debt to fill their wallets and mortgage the future of America. Their greed knows no bounds. They will lie, cheat, steal, underfund education, trash your basic freedoms, denigrate true Patriots, protect their corporate cronies, trash the environment, and send your children to fight and die for their right to earn more.....

..but they promise to keep you ‘safe’! Safe from who?

Another four years of the Bush Administration will do more damage to America than the 9/11 terrorists ever dreamed of.

4. It's the poor, rural
Repubs that I can't figure. They have voted Repub all their life and intend to keep right on doing so although the economy is collapsing around them and the only work that pays decently for their children is in local meth labs.
