Stop making excuses before we lose.
"Rigged voting machines" "Voter suppression" "Dumbass surrogate comments" STOP! You guys wanna know why the Dems lost in 2000 and especially 2004? Because we were focused on not losing, and paranoid about the way we could lose, rather than focusing on how to win. So just stop with the pre-planned excuses for November 5th.

3. I was speaking of Democrats in general...
Which you knew, but you chose to avoid my point which is that when it comes to elections in recent history Democrats beat themselves by focusing on not losing, as opposed to winning. And I see many Dems doing the same shit again.

10. what an asshole post from someone who doesnt see a wrong in voter theft
odd you are. the right doesnt care either. personally doesnt matter if the theft helps me or hurts me, voter theft is wrong and until people like you quit pretending it isnt a problem it wont be fixed. we wont be the america that the right claim they are.

your post is full of ignorance.

really, how does it feel to buy into ignorance and hold it up to all, as if you have a clue

11. Quick correction. Gore didn't lose in 2000--he won popular vote and FL was stolen
and another correction for 2004, Kerry very much may have won Ohio which would have given him the presidency. So I think we do have some right to worry about what they may plan this time. My hopes is that it will be a big enough victory that it's impossible for them to steal. And rest assured everybody here is focused on victory.

12. Saying we "lost" in 2000 is simply ignorant and fact-less.
It's possible that there's still room to debate 2004. However, 2000 is not a matter of debate, its a matter of demonstrated, proven fact. All the votes were counted after the Supreme court ordered the counting stopped. They were counted by a group of independent journalists. If every vote in Florida was counted, Al Gore won. He literally got the most votes in Florida. Period.

13. Those aren't "excuses."
Those things you mentioned are inexcusable. Thanks for being concerned about defeatism, I guess, but please stop ignoring the very real crimes of voter suppression and vote theft. These issues must be among the first addressed by the new Dem majorities.
