"W" stands for "wouldn't be prudent"
There have been several threads posted on just what it is that "W" stands for. Of course we all know it stands for Walker (as in walk away from all the carnage he leaves in his wake) but others have suggested that it stands for "wrong," "willful," "wanker," etc. . .
All of those are amusing, yet polarizing and won't convince the all important undecideds.

We all remember how Dana Carvey so masterfully impersonated GHWB with his "wouldn't be prudent" routine.

THERE IS SIMPLY NOTHING REMOTELY PRUDENT OR CONSERVATIVE about GWB.

A reckless and bullying foreign policy, initiating a preemptive war based on bogus intelligence, the looting of our surplus, ignoring pre-9/11 terrorist threat, having no post invasion plan for Iraq, degredation of our environment, perpetuating an unprecedented tax cut during a war with a ever mounting deficit, inciting more terrorism through sheer stupidity and mismanagement of the military, inspiring unprecedented anti-American sentiment, minimization of the UN, the Geneva Convention, the rule of law, habeus corpus. . .etc. . .etc. . .etc

NONE OF HIS BEHAVIOR (aside from perhaps an early bed time) HAS BEEN EVEN REMOTELY PRUDENT.

Sorry for the caps but I'm just so sick of him masquerading as the great lord of national security and vanquisher of terror when he's endangered our democracy more critically than any of his predecessors combined.

In my mind he will forever be. . .George "Wouldn't be prudent" Bush.

/end rant

1. I prefer Walker, as in
he'll need one to ambulate by the time he gets out of prison.

3. Good talking point
In fact many from Bush I administration were against the Iraq invasion,

Scowcroft, Powell, and possibly H.W. himself. Plus scores of other longtime diplomats, intelligence people.

4. Yeah I had the honor of meeting a former
ambassador to Saudi who served under Bush 41. He's voting for Kerry. He spoke at a local ACT event in my dinky town where I had expected 25-30 to show. It was SRO, must of been well over 250 there, no parking etc.

Was kind of funny, of all the documents I could have brought with me to that function, I brought a thing on the 100 conditions (most illegal) for so called Iraqi sovereignty that Bremer signed with Alawi before he made his not so grand and premature exit from Baghdad on June 28.

This document was from http//:commondreams.org circa 8/5.

I happened to bump into the ambassador on my way out. I said, "are you aware of this?" and explained how it documented the guaranteed economic servitute of the Iraqi people to foreign corporations for the next 40 years. He said, "Jerry Bremer is one of my best friends." Having just inserted my foot in to my mouth I recoiled and asked, "Well could you ask him about this?" He took me sort of aside and said that Bremer couldn't do 75% of what he wanted to do in Iraq and had been manipulated by the usual suspects of the neocons at the Pentagon.

It's just so pathetic, how a democracy of so many could be so quickly coopted by so few with such selfish and short sighted agendas.

Out of total revulsion for Bush, I've been referring to him as many others have as "*", but from now till election day, I'll refer to him as George "wouldn't be prudent" Bush. 'Cause, quite simply. . .he is completely incapable of prudence. . . a trait which his very father treasured so dearly.
