Refute this RW Talking Point: Kerry spent entire DNC talking about his
vietnam service.

NO, he did NOT. Steve McMahon agrees with this on Hardball, WHY? He certainly emphasized that but to imply that he didn't talk about other things, particularly in his keynote is FALSE. Where's JOE???????

9. Excellent. I already have it downloaded. I can offer to burn 'em a disk.
And tell them that "Kerry made it an issue" is a lie. It takes a lot longer than A WEEK to set up a 527 and shoot and edit TV commercials of the quality that the Swiftboat Vermins' ad enjoys.

The Rove Machine has been planning this attack ALL ALONG.

4. What is with these people and their inability to tell the truth? Methinks
there is some severe mental illness common to bush* supporters.

7. Does bringing it up give Bush license to LIE about it?
Edited on Mon Sep-06-04 06:30 PM by Dr Fate
that is the real question, not who brought it up, but who is lying.

Honestly bringing up one's service does NOT give Bush/media the license to lie.

8. McMahon also bombed on the issue of leadership.
Will someone please tell the surrogates that leadership means persuading people that you are right and that they should follow you.

There's a reason why * couldn't get the support of the UN; he failed to lead.

Typical RW spin crap.

11. Stop arguing a faulty premise.

Many of us are falling into the trap as to whether it is Kerry's "fault" since he "brought it up first."

Whether Kerry brought it up is NOT what we should be arguing. We should be arguing that Kerry has a RIGHT to bring up FACTS about his past, and in doing so, Bush has NO right to lie about Kerry's past.

Bringing up ones own past does NOT give the GOP/media license to make shit up. It's that simple.

Who "brought it up" is not the argument, the argument is: "WHO is lying here?"
