Will the world ever trust us again?

Now that everyone is starting to realize what IDIOTS have been running this country, do you think they will ever trust us again? Will they look at America to lead the way out of this mess?

Well, not if a guy that graduated 894/899 and a woman that went to five colleges in six years become the next President and Vice President of the U.S.

Without foreign investment we are screwed. Who would want to invest their money in a country run by a bunch of idiots?

5. I agree. It's going to take time. The past 8 years and the Palin klan rallies don't show our better
side. The world sees the the behavior of the rallies and it speaks volumes. Powell spoke of this last Sunday on MTP and he was 100% correct.

4. Not if we elect McCain
If we elect McCain, we are on our own and on our way to Third World status.

13. Not only that,
but McCain would probably start WW3 and WE would be the Germans this time.

We really, really need to win this election!

6. Yup, and that trust will come sooner than all of us are expecting
If Obama lives up to his ideals, and I think he will, he is going to regain the world's trust in a short matter of time because the world desperately wants to trust America. An Obama victory in itself will pave the way toward gaining that trust almost immediately.

7. the world's screwed anyway
we've spent the crucial past few years just further raping the planet.. while our leaders and most of our citizens deny we need to take ANY responsibility for the tons of trash we're pumping each second.

As long as we're comfy in our nice houses with our shiny cars and all the food and toys we want it doesn't matter if the world trusts us or not. We're lucky we have so much stuff too because we'll be the last ones to pay :patriot:

8. I've traveled quite a bit during the Bush years-
Russia
Belize
Guatamala
Mexico
Spain
Morocco
Peru

People abroad can and do separate the American People from our government.

9. Eventually,
But probably not in my lifetime.

We have a long road ahead of us, many bridges to cross and fences to mend.

11. That will depend on the actions of next president.
If it's Obama, AND if he acts in a more reasonble (read, not unipolar) matter over his entire term then the world may begin to trust us.

However If it's McClain then no. The world WILL finially ditch and band against us. Which will mark america's downfall.
