:|ULLSHIT not tolerated in Pittsburgh! :|-girl may have sealed McCain's fate
Watched the local news here in Pittsburgh and all the major local noon news casting increasing doubts on the :| girl story. Here's the latest summary:

No video of her at the ATM.

Changing her story.

Taking polygraph per police request.

Now, if there is one thing we all have in common in Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania: WE HATE BULLSHIT. EVEN RACISTS HATE BULLSHIT. If this girl turns out to be a liar, it will turn off the few remaining undecideds in this area and seal the deal for Obama.

I expect Obama to win via Philadelphia heavy turnout with Philly burbs supporting him. I also expect Allegheny County (Pittsburgh) to be for Obama but this incident could also win Obama other surrounding counties, like Beaver.

1. Somewhat ironic, given her obvious aims.
That photo propelled her to national embarrassment, and hopefully a little shame.

13. I think it's supposed to stand for Barack
Or, as she would no doubt say, Barry. Which is strange, since presidential candidates tend to be referred to by their last names, even by their supporters.

21. Logically, 'O' would have been a better choice, especially
since it's symmetric.

But of course, logic doesn't apply here.

4. Why would this sway voters?
I mean, would it sway voters had it been legitimate? I don't think most people will see this as conspiratorially linked to either campaign. That said, we should get what advantage we can out of events as they unfold.

8. I don't think it should reflect on McCain or Obama
Unless it's proven that it was a hoax AND that someone high up in the McCain campaign put her up to it.

16. This sort of thing used to cause lynchings and massacres.
Clearly, it was an attempt to spread racial hatred.

Both Palin and McCain calling the girl up to sympathize shows their attempt to get in on that action.

32. It's designed to fuel racist fears about "Obama's friends", aka African-Americans
I haven't done any sort of scientific study, but I seem to be seeing the word "thugocracy" appearing more and more this last week or so. Translation: Barack Obama is black, and if he is elected, it will embolden his fellow Morlocks blacks to rise up and destroy the fabric of Eloi white society.

31. BREAKING: KDKA reporting she confessed to lying. Link below.
Police: Campaign Worker Admits Making Up Story

Police say they have received photos from the ATM machine and "the photographs were verified as not being the victim making the transaction."
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Police sources tell KDKA that a campaign worker has now confessed to making up a story that a mugger attacked her and cut the letter "B" in her face after seeing her McCain bumper sticker.

Ashley Todd, 20, of Texas, initially told police that she was robbed at an ATM in Bloomfield and that the suspect became enraged and started beating her after seeing her GOP sticker on her car.

Police investigating the alleged attack, however, began to notice some inconsistencies in her story and administered a polygraph test.

Authorities, however, declined to release the results of that test.
