Biggest lead of the year so far on electoral-vote.com And second biggest lead of the year going by phrigndumass's The Daily Widget

Oct. 24

Obama 375 - McCain 157

compared with this day in 2004
and you get....

Kerry 253 - Bush 254

not to mention the CBS/NY Times poll last night has him up 13 points 52% to 39%.

1. I didn't think it was possible but my republican brother-in-law
who always let his disgust for democrats be known was swayed by Powell. McCain really turned him off but Powell's endorsement made him feel it would be okay to finally listen to what Obama had to say. Needless to say, after allowing himself to listen to him and Michelle, he's had a momentous change of heart. Not only is he voting for Obama but he's doing so with gusto.

My sister told me that prior to Powell, my inlaw wouldn't even sit to listen to the issues. After he did he had a life changing epiphany. I doubt he'll ever vote republican again.

Powell fucked up but I'm a big believer in redemption. If he's helping those unwilling to listen to open their minds, then I say he's well on his way to paying for what he's done. I hope he does the right thing and continues his penance. All those innocent lives lost is unforgivable but he has a chance to help make some things right. So far so good.
