Obama tapes TV ad for Oregon Senate candidate Jeff Merkley
He is now going to spread his coattails, helping the party:

The Land of Lincolner records a TV spot for Jeff Merkley, urging Oregonians to send him to the U.S. Senate for change from "failed Washington policies."
First commercial Obama has done for a Democratic Senate candidate this cycle.

1. On the flip side
Republicans are trying to hide not only from their current President, and their current Presidential candidate, but some are even trying to hide from their party affiliation.

2. This is big.
Merkley's opponent, Smith, has been desperately running away from the GOP and cozying up with Obama.

Obama doing a commercial for Merkley completely deflates everything he's ran on for months now.

I suspect this is the last nail in Smith's coffin.
