They don't know the meaning of VETTING. The have knee jerk reactions to everything. And it comes from the top. This is who McCain is: The non-VETTER or is it the non-VETTOR, which ever - the man shoots from the hip.

in jail until she does. This is beyond despicable. On a side note, everytime I tune to MSNBC during David Gregory, he's always talking about Obama's "problem with whites"? I admit, I can't stand to watch him, but I flip over there to see who the guests are, and everytime I do, it seems his whole show is based around Obama's race.

The Pittsburgh cops/DA have this figured out.

Ashley seems like she's a loyal rethug, she may have to spend a few nights in jail before squealing.

But they can also arrest Feldman, the McCain PA comm director, if they think he furthered the false story. He's probably got a lot more to lose than little Ashley.

34. My understanding from reading TPM is
that the reporters at the Pittsburgh station saw it on drudge and asked the mccain campaign there about it and they divulged facts of her story that weren't known yet.

Some enterprising local reporter will piece together a fascinating story there but it won't be cable corporatemediawhore$$.

37. That was not my reading of the stories on TPM.
It sounded to me like the McCain campaign in Pennsylvania contacted media outlets and pushed the story, adding all kinds of hysterical embellishments to the story that had not been reported or confirmed by any other sources. Since none of this turned out to be "fact," where did the McCain campaign get these details? Either they made them up or they had another source - which also turned out to be duped.
