A very very very public statement? Kind of like,

"You want to waste our fucking time? You want to make some shit up? This is what happens to you. Don't fuck with us, we'll make you famous. Everyone will know your name."

Hmmm, sounds like a McCain line.

1. They said in their statement
That they had actual stuff to do that night but had to spend all night verifying this turds story. If I was a cop up all night with this crap I'd do the same thing.

3. Someone else who really needed the police that night might have suffered unduly
cause the police were running around chasing after this twit's fantasy mugger.

6. The College Republicans did not vet her.
They sent a woman who is clearly in need of treatment out of state, to do a job that, if done properly, is grueling. This is not just on Ashley Todd. This is on the McCain campaign, and on College Republicans.

7. They need to do the same for the people who put her up to this...
or it's not justice.

8. If Pittsburgh is anything like my area of Detroit....
They have far more important things to be doing. Filing a false police report is a horrible thing to do. Big city police have their hands full trying to solve real crimes and trying to avoid being killed in the line of duty.

9. The city of Pittsburgh is seriously strapped financially
and is classified as a "distressed" city under state law.

I'm sure that the Pittsburgh police who are already struggling under budgetary constraints are angry about having their time wasted on this entire high profile hoax.

10. Which leads me to believe they would try to get her to implicate campaign officials....

I found it interesting that they sent out two African American Women to give the Press Conference. There are already racial problems in that district. They know the score and they're looking to hit a home run on this one.
