The Rachel Maddow show just choked me up

when she was interviewing the woman from Radar Magazine. I realized that I have never before seen a funny, intelligent woman interviewing another funny, intelligent woman about a matter of serious national importance on television before, and I was overwhelmed with a sense of pride and emotion. They weren't silly, they weren't flirty, they weren't complaining about men or sexism or affairs or shoes, they were just charming and intellectual and insightful in a way that I've grown up only seeing men being on television. Or it may have been the wine. In any case, this year has made me truly proud, and sincerely hopeful for this country. Thanks, Senator Obama. Thanks, Rachel Maddow.

Rachel has elevated the level of national discourse to a degree I truly didn't think possible.

started reading her blog 6 years ago and have missed her since she left.

She is so much sharper than any male commentator that I have ever seen on any channel. Ever.

on edit: and yeah, I really liked her exchange with Anna Marie Cox. She's another one I respect a lot.

I hope we hear more from the ex-Radar woman.

Almost ZERO talking over each other; except when she brings on Uncle Pat and the old arrogant sexist bastard can't help himself. Rachel still handles him well, though.
