More AA Democrat's have voted in NC than all the Republicans put together
Edited on Fri Oct-24-08 09:58 PM by applexcore
Had to find this for another thread, so I thought I would post it here:

"In North Carolina, blacks make up 31 percent of early voters so far, even though they're just 21 percent of the population and made up only 19 percent of state's overall 2004 vote."

"Democrats are outvoting the GOP by a margin of 2.5-to-1 in North Carolina, where early voting has been under way for a week. That's roughly double the margin from 2004.

More than 210,000 blacks who are registered as Democrats have cast early ballots in the Tar Heel State - compared with roughly 174,000 registered Republicans overall. Four years ago, the number of GOP early and absentee voters was more than double that of black Democrats."

1. Black Voter Turnout
... is going to be huge this election.

I've gotten so many text messages from friends with reminders to early vote, and so many messages from friends that have already early voted, and I know so many people that have verified their voter registration and are getting up bright and early November 4th to vote. My dad was so proud that he took a photo of his vote for Obama after he voted. The Black Vote may just swing North Carolina (and possibly Georgia) blue.

Now, all we need is all of you bleeding hearters suffering from "white liberal guilt" (as fatass says on his show ad nauseum) to come through and we have this election sealed for the Democrats.

I'm thinking an Obama Presidency and a House/Senate veto-proof majority.

:-)

4. I'm so glad the AA vote is coming in early too, to help limit vote fraud ON election day
the GOTV effort is crucial right now. I'm so hopeful. 11 more days.

5. Yep.
I'm glad as well. I started notifying everyone I knew to take advantage of early voting and to check with their local registrar of voters after finding out about the Repug slime machine's voter challenges and vote purging.

I know someone hosting an Obama Election Watch party that printed out instructions for early/absentee voting on one of his fliers.

3. By that logic, Obama will receive approximate 70% of the overall vote in NC
Good.
