Please DU this poll re: Joe the Plumber for Congress! LMAO!!
http://www.cnn.com

Would you vote for Joe the Plumber if he ran for Congress?

so far 16% yes, and 84% no

16% is way too high... it's just a tad ridiculous along with the whole notion of him being a congressman.

4. I'm prolly gonna piss people off with this statement but it has to be said
I would NEVER vote for JTP, his ideals and mine just don't mesh but we shouldn't laugh about average everyday people wanting to get involved in politics. I think MORE average "joe's" should run for office, I think D.C. would be better for it.

7. The problem is this
Like you said, he isn't our version of the "average" joe. Anything but.

More like the average redneck uninformed tool. But maybe I'm being a little too harsh.

11. He does come across as a tool
but I still stand by the idea that if an average "joe" wants to run, no matter the letter behind their name, they should be encouraged, not discouraged. Do I think JTP would be a disaster, yeah, probably but it's still a good thing that he wants to be involved in the political process. Too many people seem to be complacent about it.

But maybe Joe's a bad example. :)
