"Barack Obama will be the underdog until the day he's sitting in the Oval Office."

From Michelle's speech in Ohio on C-Span just now. She's right and, moreover, she believes it (her look in the photo below, which was taken after the New Hampshire defeat, says it all for me). So does Barack...It's a safe bet the campaign really cuts loose between now and November 4 as if they are the underdogs, leaving nothing to chance.

I read somewhere it was from a night that he lost a primary
and he was so discouraged and did not want to go onstage...
and Michelle helped lift him up enough to do what he had to do...

and the rest is history!

2. Yeah, seriously. And similar to what I said the other day re: McCain's attempts to claim "underdog"

... for himself. Just because McCain's behind on the scoreboard doesn't mean he's the underdog. He's still the experienced, veteran; but he just happens to be losing.
